April 29| $155
Our goal is to reduce the number of veterans who take their own lives by providing the opportunity to heal and rehabilitate through physical fitness.
The 2nd Annual Endurance for Veterans Face-Off will be a mixed gender partner competition held on April 29, 2017. All proceeds for this event will go directly to Endurance for Veterans and will be used to help fund a study analyzing the impact physical fitness has on PTSD symptoms.
There will be 3 guaranteed workouts plus the final for the top 3 teams in RX and Masters divisions. Workouts will be released on our Facebook page as we get closer to the event.
The adaptive athlete division will be a mixed gender, team event consisting of one adaptive athlete and one athlete who is not adaptive. We’re currently only considering physical disabilities as a criteria for an adaptive athlete. Regardless of physical disability, adaptive athletes will compete against each other, but the wods will be scaled based off the following criteria:
- Upper Extremity
- Lower Extremity
- Neuromuscular (e.g. CP, ALS, non-seated SCI, progressive MLS)
- Minor Neuromuscular Impairments (mild CP, relapsing remitting MS, limb salvage may all fit this category)
