Adaptive Coaches Seminar – with PT emphasis

November 18 @ 8:45 am - 4:45 pm

$195

The seminar is a one-day intensive program designed to introduce coaches to the intricacies of adapting programming for athletes with varying physical constraints. It is a hands-on workshop where coaches and athletes will have the opportunity to work with adaptive athletes, design their own workout to accommodate an adaptive athlete, and understand adaptation needs through practice.

We have a staff of about 20 that include DPTs, Kinesiologists, Public Health Professionals, Adapted Sport coaches, CrossFit coaches, Paralympians, and Physical Educators. The curriculum is both research and experience based and appropriate for PT/OT/RT, fitness professionals, adapted physical educators.

Upon completion, participants will better understand movement adjustments needed to maintain an inclusionary environment when adaptive athletes are present. They will feel more comfortable communicating with and coaching adaptive athletes.

Crossroads is authorized to provide CEUs for successful completion of this seminar through CrossFit, NASM, and AFAA. This seminar will also offer DC, VA, and MD (pending) APTA CEUs.
